That is why the Beurer Foundation offers low-threshold German courses for mothers whilst carefully hosting their little children in a collocated separate place, so that the mothers can focus on the learning approach. Two elementary schools in Ulm are offering this concept which is originally based on GoldenHearts Pforzheim.
In the school year 21/22, German courses for mothers take place twice a week in the afternoon for 90 minutes each. In parallel, making sure their mothers can thoroughly study, the children are being taken care of in a separate room and supported in their linguistic and social development.
The aim of the project is not to replace existing support measures, but to complement them.
In addition to language teaching, the focus is on social interaction and cultural enrichment.
