Specialised pedagogical and psychological professional practice for children

Approximately 4 to 8% of all children and young people are affected by a learning disability. Despite being of average intelligence, they have little or no knowledge of reading, writing or arithmetic. Although these academic developmental disorders meet the criteria for an ICD-10 diagnosis (classification and diagnostic system for all disorders), health insurance companies do not cover the costs of treatment. Families with a lower income and lots of children or single parents are often unable to afford treatment.

The project with PäPsy Erbach aims to support children affected by learning disabilities. Not only will the children acquire skills in reading, writing and arithmetic, they will also become more self-confident and make a valuable contribution to society.
